As the role of Headteacher continues to be a very challenging one, we all benefitted greatly from the refreshing sense of awe and wonder that your presentation was able to provide. The photography was stunning and your fluent and good-humoured exposition kept us all engrossed. Your adventures remained a real talking point for the rest for the two-day course.

Ben presented at our headteacher conference in April. Headteachers are not always the easiest of audiences, but all enjoyed Ben's enthusiastic presentation which effectively blended his impressive climbing exploits with modest good humour. Bens’ story is inspiring and he made a valuable motivational contribution; covering themes such as coping with adversity, never giving up and achieving the seemingly unachievable! The photographs brought the whole presentation to life and the question and answer session after the talk gave us a further insight into the world of climbing. With the Q & A session, Ben provided a thought provoking and entertaining end to the afternoon; as a result all the delegates left in a very positive frame of mind.

Steve Crumpler - Dorset Headteachers Conference - April 2012

Thank you for joining us at our recent Academic Council Inset Day. Your key note presentation was a great success with everyone, and really got our day off to a positive and uplifting start. Colleagues shared in their evaluations that you were ‘inspirational’, ‘made me feel anything is possible’, ‘no challenge is too great’ and ‘you reaffirmed the important role I have in helping the children I teach to fulfil their dreams’.

Janet Griffiths - Deputy Head - Stoke Demerel Community College, Plymouth - February 2012

Ben attended a networking event which I organised for headteachers from the Stafford area. All 28 delegates were transfixed by his photos and video clips, supported by his personal recount. Ben provides aspiration, inspiration and motivation in one very powerful presentation. His ‘journey’ exemplifies these qualities, for audiences of either children or adults.  He demonstrates the importance of having aspiration and going for goals, perseverance, risk-taking, teamwork and environmental protection, in addition to providing a very valuable insight into climbing. Thank you Ben, I was still talking about you the day after the event!

Gill Hampton - Education Consultant & ex Primary Headteacher - Staffordshire - February 2011

Thanks for coming along to our Staff Developmet Festival, you made me realise that we can challenge ourselves wherever we are in our lives. Your session highlighted, among many other things, the importance of teamwork - an extended programme would benefit us as a team.

Rebecca Baldero - Organiser of Staff Development Festival - Leeds Metropolitan University - September 2008
